This website is the brainchild of a B.Comm graduate and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with over 15 year's experience in the Financial Services industry. Combining a keen interest in the internet and all of its possibilities with many year's experience in marketing a financial advisory practice, the idea for an online directory of Financial Advisors in South African was born. Find an Advisor was launched in October 2004, and has enjoyed tremendous success. The media took a keen interest with numerous articles being published in leading South African publications, and the Proudly South African website even featured Find an Advisor on their home page (of their own accord) as an example of South African innovation.

Having worked a stint previously as an accountant, and given the enormous success of Find an Advisor, the launch of a sister site - Find an Accountant - seemed obvious. Plans to launch other professional Find a sites are also in the pipeline. It is anticipated that the individual websites will generate a lot of cross-traffic to each other, as clients that require financial advisors invariably require accountants too (and visa versa).

Search engines have always been a mainstay of the World Wide Web, but as the web browsing public matures, more and more specialised industry-specific web searchs are going to come to the fore. FindanAccountant.co.za is one of them.
